A New Photo Cathode Display using an electric field-controll method

Abstract(in English) A new flat Cathode Ray Tube(CRT)with photo cathode display is proposed. The characteristic of his new CRT is that the electrons emitted from the photo cathode are controlled by the electric field. The photo cathode emits the photoelectron by irradiation from backlight. The anode voltage is 1 / 4 in comparison with a conventional CRT. The drive voltage is low. The consumption power is low. It has high brightness. This paper presents the basic structure, principle of operation, modulation principle, focus principle, display method, and a future policy of photo cathode and conclusion.
