Abstract(in English) | Bright reflective color LCDs without a backlight are key devices for portable information systems. They are classified under three categories on scattering media, reflector behind the cell, liquid crystal layer and front scattering film. The reflector method can control the scattering characteristics precisely. The front scattering film method is easy to fabricate the panel. Design of the reflective color LCDs improves the quality of LCDs and expands the application field of LCDs. |
