Abstract(in English) The electron swarm parameters of Xe/He and Xe/Ne mixtures were analyzed using a Boltzmann equation method in which generation of secondary electrons produced through excited atoms and reactions among excied atoms were properly considered. The discharge onset voltage V_b was shown to be strongly influenced by gas mixture ratio. The emission rateof vacum ultra violet lights (λ=130, 147 and 173nm) from the Xe resonance levels (Xe_) and Xe excimer (Xe_2) were calculated. A suitable discharge condition to design Plasma Display Panels was discussed.
