| Abstract(in English) | Asia Display 98(IDRC 18^ | ) was held in Soel, Korea from September 28 through October 1, 1998. As for electrolumonescent (EL) devices, there were many presentations. It should be noted that the number of the presentation about the EL display has been increasing. It is found that the EL display is growing and becomes a promising display comparable with other display. I will report presentations about EL in Asia Display 98 from a viewpoint of the display. From this viewpoint, interesting presentation are : RGB patterning of a polymer EL device by ink-jetting (Toyama Univ.), low temp p-Si TFT driven organic EL displays (Seiko Epson Corp./Cornell Univ., Eastman Kodak Company), a driving method for active matrix EL displays using ramp wave to achieve gray scale, etc. |
