Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Evaluation of absorption current curve provides the attributes of two representative ions in LC layer of sample cell. With this measurement, LC mixtures, which are composed of a non-polar compound and a polar compound in concentration of 5-30%, were evaluated at several temperatures. From the evaluation of dissociation energy, dissolution of electrically neutral ions can be a source of ions in LC layer. Basides, the concentration of the electrically neutral molecules increases by increasing temperature. This suggests that dissolution of electrically neutral molecules from alignment layers be a source of ions in LC layer.
