Abstract(in English) | Evaluation of absorption current curve provides the attributes of two representative ions in LC layer of sample cell. With this measurement, LC mixtures, which are composed of a non-polar compound and a polar compound in concentration of 5-30%, were evaluated at several temperatures. From the evaluation of dissociation energy, dissolution of electrically neutral ions can be a source of ions in LC layer. Basides, the concentration of the electrically neutral molecules increases by increasing temperature. This suggests that dissolution of electrically neutral molecules from alignment layers be a source of ions in LC layer. |
