Mn and Cr co-doped Ga_2O_3 Phosphor TFEL Devices

Abstract(in English) Multicolor-emitting TFEL devices with a Ga_2O_3 : Mn, Cr phosphor thin-film emitting layer and a thick BaTiO_3 ceramic sheet insulating layer have been fabricated. The thin-film emitting layer was prepared by a less expensive deposition process using metallic complex salts which are easy to handle. High luminances were obtained in Ga_2O_3 : Mn, Cr phosphor TFEL devices prepared with a constant Mn content of 0.3at.% and a Cr content of 0-20at.%. The emission color from Ga2O3 : Mn, Cr TFEL devices was dependent on the Cr content : the color changed from green to red. Besides, the emission color was also dependent on the applied voltage : the color changed from green to red as the applied voltage was varied.
