Abstract(in English) | A liquid crystal (LC) grating with a surface relief structure is reported. This liquid crystal grating is fabricated with UV irradiation through a grating photo mask using a mixture of liquid crystal and prepolymer materials. The grating structure of this polymer/LC grating is observed by a polarizing microscope and a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and electrooptical properties are measured. The groove depth which is controlled by the energy of the UV irraddiation is also discussed. |
