Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A system for the visualization of the surface figure of a stone around the bored hole drilled under ground for the test is experimentally studied using ultrasonic pulse-echo method. The purpose of this paper is focused to visualize the surface of stone of few 10cm diameter in the sand under underground water, which less attenuate the ultrasonic wave than in dry sand. The attenuation in the sand under water was measured for the discussion of penetration of the ultrasonic, and then the transmission through the pipe material of bored hole was also estimated. An example of visualization of the model object was performed to confirm the possibility of this method for near surrounding of the hole.
