Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The growth of yttrium oxysulfide europium red phosphor has been studied using sodium thiosulphate as the sulfiding agent employing separated oxides of yttrium and europium. The result indicate that the sulfidation starts at very low temperature ie. 400℃ where the thiosulphate yields sodium polysulfide. The phase pure oxysulfide is obtained at 600℃.the growth of oxysulfide crystal starting from dissolution of oxide and regrown with perfect crystals without mimicking the parent morphology. the phosphor obtained shows efficient luminescence and compared with commercial phosphor.
