Development of an autostereoscopic display using dynamic double parallax barrier

Abstract(in English) An autostereoscopic display nusing dynamic double parallax barrier(DDPB)that can be attached to CRT displaying field-sequential stereoscopic images, is developed. DDPB panel can be easily attached or removed without concerning geometrical limitations for CRT pixel positions. Normal(two-dimensional TV broadcasting signal)can be also observed by removing the panel from CRT. Furthermore, a method to detect an observer head position using an active sensing(infrared)to realize a wide autostereoscopic viewing area, is developed.
