Transmittance drift properties of liquid-crystal cells by DC voltage

Abstract(in English) The image-sticking effect in Thin-Film Transistor activated Liquid Crystal Display(TFT-LCD)was modelized as the transmittance drift by DC voltage in liquid-crystal cells.The method how the transmittance drift was calculated from the residual DC potential drift,which causes the image-sticking,by the electro-optic characteristics of liquid crystal was proposed.The transmittance drifts calculated from the measured residual DC potential drifts quantitatively agreed with the experimantal results.Therefore,the method is useful to analyze the image-sticking effect in liquid- crystal cells.
