Abstract(in English) Some properties of avalanche multiplication photodiodes(APD) operated in a charge integration mode are studied.From the simple analytical model or experiment,as the multiplication gain is increased,the reduction of slope,γ of the photoelectric transfer c haracteristics and of the scattering of the photoresponse in the APD array is verified.Moreover,it is found that low noise amplification of the photo-generated carriers in the APD can be expected due to the self-quenching effect in the multiplication gain of the APD caused from the charge integration operation. Consequently,the use of the APD as a photoelectic conversion element is desirable to realize the highly sensitive imaging sensors with a wide dynamic range.
