Abstract(in English) A light scattering mode spatial light modulator, consisting of a hydrogenated amorphous silicon thick-film (30μ m) which is deposited by means of an ECR plasma CVD method, has been developed for a large screen projection display The device has good characteristics, such as a high photosensitivity (1mw/cm^2), a high resolution (50 lp/mm), and a high extinction ratio (100: 1).
