Abstract(in English) An adhesive strength of the LCD sealant was measured using Double Cantilever Beam (DCB) test. In becomes clear that the degrease in the adhesive strength of UV curable sealant has been small compared to the strength of thermosetting one after 500hrs. of 60℃ 90%RH testing, though the initial strength is lower. The fracture of the UV curable sealant was cohesive failure, on the other hand, the thermosetting one was interfacial failure between resin and glass substrate. Furthermore, in the case of having an organic layer between the sealant and the glass substrate, UV curable one has kept the higher strength than the thermosetting one. It is concluded that the internal stress generated in the UV curable sealant is smaller than the one in the thermosetting sealant.
