Abstract(in English) In automobiles, the use of display systems has been increasing. Furthermore, the elderly population is also rapidly increasing. This paper describes a new approach for improving display visibility. In the proposed method, the contrast of the display images is improved by compensating the deterioration of two visual properties as aging; the contrast sensitivity concerning the spatial frequency and the spectral transmittance of crystalline lens regarding the wavelength.
