Abstract(in English) A new type multicolor electroluminescent EL device with a thin-film / powder phosphor emitting layer has been fabricated without vacuum process. High-luminance multicolor (emissions were obtained in EL devices using a ZnGa_2O_4:Mn, ZnS:Mn or BaMgAl_<14>O_<23>Eu powder phosphor in combination with a ZnGa_2O_4:Mn thin-film phosphor: 335 cd/m^2 in green, 964cd/m^2 in orange and 2.7cd/m^2 in blue, respectively, when driven at 1kHz.
