Luminescent Characteristics of SrS:Ce and SrS:Cu of Blue Emitting EL Materials

Abstract(in English) Luminescent characteristics of blue-green emitting SrS:Ce and blue emitting SrS:Cu have been studied. The luminescent characteristics of SrS:Ce powder phosphors were improved by adding charge compensators to Ce^<3+> luminescent centers. Elecroluminescent characteristics of SrS:Ce thin films were also improved. SrS:Cu thin films, which were prepared by hot wall deposition with alternating supply of source materials, showed blue photoluminescence with a peak wavelength at 471nm.
