Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Raster moire fringes appear in high-resolution CRTs due to interferences between the raster lines and shadow-mask apertures. The moire leads to degradation of picture guality. Since there are various modes for the moire fringes, it has beem difficult to evaluate them using a single computer simulation. This paper introduces a Gaussian weighting methed which enables to guantify the perception of both an in-phase and inverse-phase moire patterns. The method also allows to explain the inversion phenomenon of luminance distribution. An optimum electron beam profile is found using the method. |
