Development of Eu Complexes for Organic Electroluminescent Devices

Abstract(in English) Eu-complexes for organic electroluminescent (EL) devices with pure-red emission were investigated. The β-diketone complex with fluorene has been developed as a new material having superior luminescent efficiency and volatility suitable for vacuum deposition. Furthermore, the novel structural EL device with the emitting layer consists of a Eu-complex-doped hble-transport material was demonstrated. This device emitted red emission from Eu by the energy transfer from the hole-transport material to the Eu-complex.
