Abstract(in English) Aging characteristics have been studied for SrS:Ce and SrS:Ce, Zn thin-film electroluminescent (TFEL) devices. Dynamic space charge, which is unique characteristics of SrS:Ce devices, is reduced by Zn codoping. As the result, both the phosphor field in SrS:Ce layer and EL luminance increase. The decrease of EL luminance by aging is thought to be caused by the decrease of the phosphor field. The value of dynamic space charge does not change, while luminance and phosphor field decrease. possible origins of the degradation of SrS:Ce TFEL devices are increase of static space charge and/or shallowing of electron traps.
