Optical Emission Mechanism of Red Color Organic EL Doped with Dye

Abstract(in English) We fabricated organic EL devices utilizing an emitting layer doped with dye. The emission mechanism was discussed in the device by examining the EL spectrum and V-I characteristic. From the density distribution of Alq3 excitons, we concluded the dominant emission mechanism is the energy transfer due to exciton diffusion.
