Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The experimental investigation has been made for the influences of such parameters as the cell thickness d, the factor d/R_0, the pretilt angle, the wave form of applied voltage, and temperature on the bistability in the BTN (bistable twisted nematic) liquid crystal cell. As the liquid crystal material, the mixture of ZLI-2293 (Merck Co.Ltd.) and CB15 (BDH Co.Ltd.) were used. The initial state of molecular orientation was the anti-symmetric configpractorn with the twisted angle of 180°. The occurrence of bistability was confirmed in the range 0.5
