Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have already developed a device with a photo-sensor to measure a display's MTF. Though the device was useful in the measurement with two methods (with sinusoidal waves and with an impulse), there were still some problems to be solved such that the device could not be used to measure the response due to the sampling by the CRT shadow mask. This time, we solved these problems. The modified device has a MOS linear imaging sensor to measure the MTFs including the sampling effect in both horizontal and vertical directions. We describe the specification of the device and measured data on HDTV CRTs.
