Abstract(in English) Color PDPs utilize the pulse-number-modulation-within-a-field technique for expressing gray levels. When moving images are displayed on the PDPs, disturbances of gray levels and colors are often observed. The equalizing-pulse technique adds (or subtracts) an extra light-emission to an original signal to compensate for the lack of emission. The technique, however, is not adequate for images moving at fast speeds. In this paper a new technique is introduced in which the equalizing pulses are weighed according to the speed of an image motion. The technique is applicable to images moving at any speed in any direction.
