Abstract(in English)	The 2^ International Conference on the Science and Technology of Display Phosphors was held at San Diego on November 18-20, 1996. The basis of the phosphors and their applications have been discussed for all kinds of emissive displays. 89 papers including 9 invited papers were published in the conference, where 32 papers were about inorganic EL and 7 papers were about organic EL.
