Abstract(in English) A new LC panel structure which enables a really practical ferroelectric LCD is proposed by introducing a thermosetting epoxy "spacer". The new concept of the thermosetting epoxy spacer provides a honeycomb structure in the LC panel, resulting in a tenacious LC panel against mechanical shocks. Thanks to the tenacious Panel structure, an FLC display is got rid of the vulnerability in a portable use.
