| Abstract(in English) | A 10.4-inch reflective type TFT-LCD with 640X480 pixels using the recently developed mixed-mode twisted nematics (MTN) cel1 is demonstrated. For the direct-view applications, this display exhibts very high contrast which is more than 30 to 1. The viewing cone is more than 40°without gray-scale inversion. The colorimetry performance is as good as a transmissive TN-LCD. The response of this display is less than 20 ms. |
