Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Indoor wall mounted antennas for IMT-200 need to have the cocoon-shaped pattern with the high FB ratio in the horizontal plane. The cocoon-shaped pattern is defined as radiation pattern to radiate the electromagnetic waves strongly toward the corner of the room suppressing the front radiation in this paper. This paper proposes the patch antenna and the quarter-wavelength shorted microstrip antenna with two parasitic elements mounted on the flanged ground plane to obtain the cocoon-shaped pattern with the high FB ratio. The FDTD calculations and the measurements varified the cocoon-shaped pattern with the good FB ratio more than 20 dB.
