Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The sounding rokect "SS-520-2" was launched on Ny-Alesund, Svalbard, Norway, 4th December, 2000. In the earth's polar cusp, we frequently observe that energetic heavy ions flow up from the ionosphere to the magnetosphere and that they are heated in the perp endicular direction relative to the ambient magnetic field. We were in charge of developing the onboard plasma wave measurement system called Plasma Wave Analyzer(PWA). PWA system worked successfully and we took very good waveform data and spectrum data from PWA. In this paper, we talk about Plasma Wave Analyser(PWA) which was loaded on the SS-520-2 rocket and discuss the PWA initial result.
