An electromagnetic environment simulator for space weather forecasting

Abstract(in English) To realize a space weather forecasting system for magnetic substorms, we are now constructing a simulator, which works on AVS (Advanced Visual System). The AVS provides circumstance of 3-dimensional visualization. We set the Earth with coastlines and magnetic fields in the vicinity of the Eath. Next, we apply the observation data which are observed by Geotail and Polar spacecrafts to the simulator. These data give us 3-dimensional source locations of the AKR (Auroral Kilometric Radiation) on the field lines and the locations of spacecrafts orbits. Future objective of this simulator is to execute the 3-dimensional ray-tracings.
