Array Antenna Beamforming Method Using Local Scattering Model

Abstract(in English) In multipath environment, delayed and reflected waves at a base station degrade the quality of the communication signals. We consider that an impinging signal with a small angular spread includes a small number of delayed signals which cause the deterioration of the signal if we assume that the received signals at base station consist of delayed signals with a small angular spread. In this paper, we consider the local-scattering model of received signal at the base station with an array antenna, and propose a new method for array antenna beamforming by taking into the account of the parameter of the angular spread. This method can discriminate the desired signal among the received signals by estimating the angular spread. Finally, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method through the simulation.
