Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a search radar, clutter is not sometimes suppressed sufficiently using AMTI(adaptive moving target indicators)based on the theory of adaptive filters because there are a few transmitted pulses. To overcome this problem, a clutter suppression filter has been proposed with the notch frequency equal to the center frequency of the clutter estimated by a maximum entropy method. In this report, we propose a method for adaptively suppressing the clutter distributed in range using the combination of such time-varying clutter suppression filters for staggered PRF.It is demonstrated that the bimodal clutter is sufficiently suppressed by the proposed method in comparison with the latticetype AMTI with time-varying reflection coefficients.
