A Study on a High-Resolution Time Delay Estimation in the Presence of a Carrier Frequency Offset

Abstract(in English) In a future mobile communication system, it will be required to realize much higher transmission services than the present ones. Time delay estimation is one of the important techniques in frequency-selective fading environments. We have proposed a method, called TD-MUSIC, to estimate the time delays by analyzing received composite modulation signal in a time domain. However, we have assumed that carrier frequency has been recovered exactly. In this paper, we examine the performance of TD-MUSIC algorithm in the presence of carrier frequency offset. The computer simulations show that the performance is not degraded so much by the frequency offset.
