Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A patch-slot composite antenna is proposed for polarization diversity systems. A modified patch antenna mounting on a narrow ground plane is proposed as the vertical polarization element, and a slot antenna with parasitic element and T-shaped ground plane is proposed as the horizontal polarization element. Element characteristics are examined through the FDTD calculation. Characteristics of the composite diversity antenna are also examined through experiments, which shows quite large isolation between the elements even in the 0.45 λ-spacing.
