Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Adaptive antennas are known to be effective means in improving performances of mobile communication systems. However, in CDMA cellular systems, adaptive antennas used at a base station may become very complicated under the space-time adaptive processing(STAP)schemes due to the large number of users. In this paper, we propose a sub-optimal digital beamforming(DBF)based sector space-time adaptive antenna, which simplifies the complexity whereas the space-time adaptive processing remains efficient. Analytic and simulation results show that the performance of the sector STAP is very close to that of the element-space STAP processing.
