Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An omni-directional horizontal polarization element was studied. By forming a circular dipole element resembling a"C"on a substrate and arranging a parasitic element also resembling a"C"on the other substrate, we obtained an omni-directional antenna element which radiates horizontally polarized waves. We obtained an element which has 5 % in the relative bandwidth and less than 1.5 dB in gain deviation in the horizontal plane. By using the above element as horizontal polarization elements, and alternately arranging vertical polarization elements, a high gain omni-directional polarization diversity base station antenna for the mobile communication system was realized.
