Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report argued the experimental results of propagation characterixtics at 60 GHz band on the road for ITS inter-vehicle communications. The experiment was examined to understand the basic characteristics of millimeter wave propagation on the road by measuring of received power and bit error rate for the quasi-static condition. The results showed that instantaneous propagation envrionment for inter-vehicle communication is expressed by two-ray model of direct wave and reflected wave from the road. We also measured the data transmission charateristics when two experimental vehicles run on the real expressway. The experimental results proved the feasibility of inter-vehicle communication system using millimeter wave.
