Modeling of Multimedia Services in Cellular Systems and its Application to System Performance Evaluation

Abstract(in English) Recent years, the demand for wireless multimedia communications with various QoSs (Quality of Services) has been increasing. In this paper, a typical multimedia service model which is supposed to be provided in 3G or later mobile communications is proposed. Using the model, the system performance under Software Radio environment whcih has an access scheme selectability is discussed in terms of average waiting time, as compared with conventional systems.
