Abstract(in English) | This report proposes waveguide duplexers using shunt-inductive irises with no tunning devises attached, which are formed out of ceramic materials coated with conductors and could provide low loss characteristics and compact dimensions. A feasibility study on such duplexers has been done and some simple expressions are derived concerning relations between fabrication tolerances and amount of frequency band variation. From results of the study, an S-band duplexer has been designed and fabricated, employing ceramic materials with ε r=20 and tan δ=2e-4 at 10GHz and resulting in its 1 / 100 volume in comparison with a conventional hollow waveguide duplexer. The duplexer gives an excellent performance that contains less amount of frequency band variation than estimated by above expressions. |
