Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In mobile communications an interference reduction is an important technique for high quality and reliability of the channel. In order to reduce the interference the flat four-beam switched antenna was proposed as a mobile antenna, however its narrow band width due to the small aperture remained to be solved. This array antenna requires the element of which aperture width is less than a λ for suppressing grating lobes. In this report we prop ose a wide band element and new array spacing for the flat four- beam switched antenna.A wide frequency bandwidth and switchable beam pattern is successfully obtained by means of experiment and approximate calculation. We also show an analysis of the flat element using the finite element method.
