Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Advanced mobile satellite communicatlon experiments in Ka and mm- wave bands will be carried out using COMETS satellite, which is scheduled for launch in 1997.Mobile antennas will play a key role in high frequency systems such as COMETS.This paper describes three types of antennas which are now being developed by CRL.One is an electronically steered active phased array antenna, another is a mechanically steered wave-guide slot array antenna, and the third is a mechanically steered torus reflector antenna. The first two antennas are used in Ka band, while the latter is used in mm- wave.
