Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multihorn-fed reflector antennas are suitable for variable e.i.r. p.21GHz band broadcasting satellites from the viewpoints of the range of electic power variation and the ability of handling high electric power. We have studied the relation between the number of beams and the satellite system of which coverage area is the Japanese islands. The numbers of beams considered are 4,6 and 15.We design the antennas and calculate, the antenna gain respectively for each beam number system. Then,we derive the necessary RF power for each system. The result shows that the 6 beam system requires the least RF power. Therefore, the 6 beam system is most suitable from the viewpoint of satelite feasibility.
