Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, turbo codes and site-diversity are applied to W-CDMA on reverse link, and the performance is investigated as a function of combining period of site-diversity. Simulation results shows the site-diversity provides the considerable gain with combining period 10ms through 80ms(maxmum Doppler frequency f_D is 80Hz). Futhermore, the performance of turbo codes with site-diversity is compared to the conventional coding scheme, concatenated codes of convolutional codes and RS codes, and it is shown that turbo codes provide the better performance than the conventional coding scheme if only Rayleigh fading or both Rayleigh fading and shadowing is assumed(f_D=80Hz). In the case with f_D 5Hz, turbo codes provides the better performance then the conventional coding scheme if both Rayleigh fading and shadowing is assumed.
