Abstract(in English) | The array directions of arrival(DOA) finding method with ESPRIT algorithm is less computationally expensive because it does not need spatial search operations. The conventional ESPRIT requires two sub-array antennas whose manifold characteristics are identical each other. However, in actual antenna array, there may be some differences between sub-arrays so that estimation accuracy in DOA by conventional ESPRIT may be degraded significantly. In this paper we propose a novel calibrating ESPRIT algorithm, where the eigenvectors for signal space are transformed by a manifold difference matrix, so as to reduce the estimation errors caused by sub-array manifold differences. We also show the DOA estimation error of the proposed algorithm is less than 1/10 of the conventional one by some numerical simulation. |
