Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Auroral hiss which is thought to be generated by incoherent Cerenkov radiation can't penetrate through the ionosphere to the ground because of propagating with a quasi electro-static whistler mode, although it is frequently observed on the ground. It is confirmed by ray tracing and the refracting capability that auroral hiss propagating with a high wave normal angle can propagate down to the ground for a latitudinally irregular magnetospheric plasma model, but, can't propagate for a simple diffusive equilibrium (DE) model. |
