Abstract(in English) The spacecraft potential has been approximately expressed by a function with parameters of N√T, where N and T are the density and temperature of electrons.In this study, we investigate the relation between the GEOTAIL spacecraft potential and the density and temperature of ambient plasma electrons.We found that there is no correlation between spacecraft potential and ion temperature, and that there is a good correlation between electron density.From the correlation of electron density, we obtained a map showing the spatial distribution of electron density.
