Performance on chip synchronization and packet transmission in W-CDMA random access

Abstract(in English) The performances of coherent block demodulation for W-CDMA packet transmission is described. The power delay profile is measured using the all pilot symbols within the packet and some continous pilot blocks are coherently accumulated. Computer simulation results and laboratory experiments confirm that coherent summation over the 2 pilot blocks are effective for suppressing the influence of the noise and fading variation when the pilot symbols inserted every 0.625ms. It is also clarified the FER performance is degraded by only 0.5dB from the ideal case.
