Abstract(in English) | In this paper, the effect of the ferrite absorber, which is attached to the inner wall of the conducting cavity for a subsurface radar antenna, is discussed. The input impedances, near field directional patterns and transient received voltage of the resistor-loaded bow-tie antenna covered with ferrite-coated conducting cavity, are calculated by using the finite difference time domain(FDTD)method. The FDTD results show that the ferrite is not so effective for the improvement of the antenna characteristics. |
