Abstract(in English) As a great demand for wireless high speed LAN is growing,the application of wireless optical communication along with radio system for indoor wireless networks attracts a great deal of attention. This paper describes the results of theoretical investigation of optical signal transmission characteristics in indoor wireless networks via optical diffuse channel,and shows the spatial distribution characteristics of transmission loss and delay spread. We also report the experimental results of received optical power to be compared with theoretical results.Further,taking account of the optical diffuse channel characteristics,we theoretically analyze BER of optical BPPM, DD system and investigate the size of communication coverage.
