Abstract(in English) Presented here are pertinent aspects of the-wide-area roadway transportation currently in operation in Japan and the proporsals for an advanced mobile radio communication system for connecting the long-distance trucks using these roadways with their dispatch offices. Three specific areas are reviewed:questionnaire research on 1400 truck users and the results of statistical analysis,especially concerning voice, data media;thin traffic mobile radio communications for wide-area roadways;and several proposals for constructing and implementing an advanced system for providing mobile radio communication.After the feasibility study has been done about mobile satellite communication,that can make not only message communication possible,but also voice communication cheeply in the whole land of Japan.
